Someone a few steps ahead, telling you the truth at the right moment, changes your trajectory. This handbook shows you how to find that person and make it count.

When you sign up, we ask three questions: where you are right now, what you'd like to be different in six months, and what kind of mentor would help most. They're optional and private to you.

Don't overthink them. A rough answer today is enough, and you can change it any time.

Then name one thing you'd like to get better at. If the words won't come, the platform helps you sharpen them.

Your Home is yours alone. Your answers, your focus areas, your thinking between sessions. Your mentor can't see any of it unless you bring it into a shared conversation.

The clearer you are about what you're working on, the more your mentoring is worth.

Bring someone you already trust. A former manager, a senior peer, someone who's been where you're heading. Asking feels like a big deal. It isn't. You're asking for their thinking on one thing you're working through, not a lifetime commitment. The platform drafts the invitation for you, and mentors you invite join free, always.

Book from the Leverage Mentor Network. When the right person isn't around you, browse our mentors. I've met every one of them personally before they were listed. Watch their intro video to get a feel for how they work, then book a session. If it doesn't click, try someone else.

Pick a length (30 or 60 minutes), pick a time, pay by card. You'll get a confirmation with a calendar invite, and your shared workspace opens straight away.

Cancelling. More than 48 hours out, full refund. Between 24 and 48 hours, a session credit. Inside 24 hours, the session stands. Need a different time? Cancel outside 48 hours and rebook.

Fill in the Session prep card: what you want to talk through, what would make it useful, any context. Five minutes, and your mentor reads it before you meet. It's the difference between a good chat and a session that moves something.

Anything left over from last time carries forward automatically.

The video room opens in your workspace 15 minutes before the start. Nothing to install, never recorded.

Take notes with your mentor on the shared canvas. You can both type at once and everything saves itself.

Before you finish, agree one or two actions with owners and dates. Then complete the session. That locks in the recap, and your next session opens with what you agreed.

Do the actions. That's where mentoring succeeds or fails. Your mentor sees the same list you do.

Use your Home space to note what happened and what you want to bring next time.

Your conversations belong to you and your mentor, full stop. If you're on a team plan, your employer sees activity only: that sessions are happening. Never the content of a conversation, a note, or a goal. Speak freely.

• Is my mentor paid? Invited mentors join free; it's a relationship, not a gig. Network mentors set their own rate and are paid automatically after each session.
• Not clicking? Book someone else, and remember the first-session guarantee. Invited mentors can be archived any time in settings.
• More than one mentor? Yes. Each pair gets its own private space.
• What does it cost? Your subscription covers your space and anyone you invite. Network sessions are priced per session at the mentor's rate. Start with a 14-day free trial, no card required.
